About 360n60

Our editorial standards

360n60 tells the world's biggest stories, past, present and future, in 60 words, with the full story in 360 words or fewer. These are the rules every story follows.

Accuracy and sources

Every news story and history entry names its sources at the end. We rely on official statements and records, established news organisations, museums, universities and scientific bodies.

Where sources disagree, we say so, give the range of figures, and do not present an estimate as a fact. Breaking stories are dated, and later developments are added as dated updates.

Fairness and balance

We report what happened, who said what and what is known, in neutral language. We do not take sides in elections or political disputes, and we label forecasts, plans and projections clearly in our Future section.

Short by design

Every summary is 60 words or fewer and every full story 360 words or fewer. Keeping stories short means choosing the facts that matter most, never leaving out the ones that change the meaning.

How we use AI tools

360n60 uses AI tools to help research, draft and check stories. Every story is built from named, published sources, and we correct mistakes openly when they are found.

Images

We use designed share cards, icons and colours. We do not publish AI-generated images of real people or invented photographs of real events.

Independence

360n60 does not accept payment to publish, change or remove a story. Any sponsored content in future will be clearly labelled.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and say what changed. See our corrections page.
